Chimney Rock Park offers visitors 996 acres of sheer rock cliffs, endangered flowers, hiking trails, wildlife, rock climbing opportunities and a spectacular 404-foot waterfall featured in the film, "The Last of the Mohicans." The park's crowning jewel is the "Chimney" itself, a 315-foot monolith towering over beautiful Hickory Nut George, offering visitors a spectacular, 75-mile view of the surrounding Blue Ridge Mountains. The park is located 25 miles southeast of Asheville, just west of Lake Lure.
Open daily Winter: 8:30 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.; Summer: 8:30 a.m. - 7:00 p.m.
Adults $14; Children (6-15) $6; Children under 6 are free.
